Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) & Dry Needling

Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) and dry needling are techniques used to help target trigger points in the muscles and areas of tension that are contributing to pain, stiffness, and limited mobility. Very fine sterile needles are used to stimulate affected muscles to help relieve the tension. When a tight muscle is being treated some patients may experience a “twitch” reaction which is normal and indicates that the targeted muscle is responding to the treatment.

This technique is beneficial to reduce muscle tension, restore muscle function, relieve pain, and support the body’s natural repair mechanisms.

IMS and dry needling may help with:

  • Muscle tightness & pain
  • Restricted mobility
  • Sports-related injuries
  • Neck and back pain
  • Muscle tension headaches

Active Release Techniques (ART)

Active Release Techniques (ART) is a soft tissue therapy designed to help muscles, fascia, tendons, and ligaments that can contribute to pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility. This treatment combines targeted manual pressure with specific patient movement to help break down adhesions/scar tissue to restore normal tissue function.

ART focuses on identifying and treating the underlying cause of soft tissue dysfunction and supports more efficient movement patterns. Active Release

Techniques may help patients experiencing:

  • Muscle tightness and chronic tension
  • Repetitive strain injuries
  • Sports-related injuries
  • Neck, shoulder, and back pain
  • Restricted mobility and stiffness
  • Overuse injuries affecting muscles and tendons
  • Reduced flexibility

Kinesiology Taping

Kinesiology taping is a therapeutic taping technique designed to support muscles and joints while allowing full movement. Kinesiology tape is elastic and works by assisting the body to provide support without restricting mobility. This technique is used to help influence movement patterns, reduce strain on injured or overworked tissues, and support the body’s natural healing and recovery processes. Kinesiology taping is often utilized as a part of a treatment plan.

Kinesiology taping may help patients experiencing:

  • Sports-related injuries
  • Muscle strain and fatigue
  • Joint instability
  • Postural imbalances
  • Swelling and inflammation
  • Repetitive strain injuries
  • General movement and performance support

Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy (PRP)

Concentrated Healing Solution

Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy (PRP) is a regenerative treatment that uses components of the patient’s own blood to support the body’s natural healing processes. PRP contains a concentrated amount of platelets and growth factors, which play an important role in tissue repair and recovery.

PRP therapy is used to help treat joint pain that is related to cartilage irritation, degeneration, and inflammation. This treatment involves drawing a small sample of blood and processing it using a centrifuge to isolate the platelet-rich portion. This platelet-rich plasma solution is then injected into the targeted area to help stimulate healing and recovery for injured tissues. This treatment is often used as part of a long-term treatment plan to support tissue regeneration, reduce pain, and improve function over time.

PRP therapy may help patients experiencing:

  • Tendon injuries
  • Chronic joint pain
  • Ligament injuries
  • Sports-related injuries
  • Overuse and degenerative conditions
  • Soft tissue injuries that are slow to heal

Prolotherapy

Solution Signals Body to Rebuild

Prolotherapy is a regenerative injection-based treatment designed to support the healing and strengthening of injured or weakened connective tissues, such as ligaments and tendons. The goal of this treatment is to stimulate the body’s natural repair mechanism in areas where ligaments and tendons have become weakened or damaged.

Prolotherapy works by injecting a small amount of dextrose (sugar-based solution) to the affected area, signaling the body to increase blood flow and send active repair cells to stimulate tissue healing.

Prolotherapy may help patients experiencing:

  • Chronic joint pain and instability
  • Ligament injuries and laxity
  • Tendon-related conditions
  • Sports-related injuries
  • Overuse or degenerative conditions
  • Musculoskeletal instability
  • Persistent pain

Cupping Therapy

Cupping therapy is a soft tissue technique that uses suction to help decompress muscles, improve circulation, and support tissue recovery. This treatment is commonly used to address muscular tightness, fascial restrictions, and areas of chronic tension. By gently lifting the soft tissues, cupping helps increase blood flow to the treated area, reduce muscle stiffness, and support the body’s natural healing response.

Cupping therapy may help patients experiencing:

  • Muscle tightness and tension
  • Sports-related muscle fatigue
  • Neck, shoulder, and back pain
  • Restricted mobility
  • Chronic soft tissue tension
  • Recovery after injury

Custom Orthotics

Our chiropractors are also able to assess and prescribe orthotics personal to each patient, designed to help align the lower body, to reduce strain on joints and support movement.

Orthotics are medical inserts designed to support the alignment and mechanics of the foot, which can help reduce the stress placed on the rest of the body during movement. Our chiropractors perform an orthotic assessment to evaluate the lower body mechanics, gait, and posture. The goal of custom orthotics is to improve patient  comfort, movement efficiency, and overall long-term biomechanical health.

Custom orthotics may help with:

  • Foot pain
  • Knee pain
  • Hip and lower back strain
  • Plantar Fasciitis
