Sanam Amiri

Registered Psychologist

Sanam is a humanistic, relational therapist offering compassionate and integrative support for adults and teens navigating recovery after injury, trauma, and life disruption. Sanam’s work also involves supporting individuals following motor vehicle accidents (MVA), helping them manage emotional overwhelm, rebuild safety and trust in their bodies, and reconnect with a sense of stability and self. Sanam is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists. Sanam holds a Bachelors of Psychiatric Nursing from MacEwan University and a Masters of Counselling Psychology from Adler University—she is currently completing a PhD in Transpersonal Psychology from Sofia University.

Sanam’s approach integrates talk therapy with evidence-based modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), somatic and nervous system-informed care, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Together, you will focus on restoring both emotional and physical resilience—addressing the psychological impact of pain, stress, and trauma as part of the healing process. Grounded in a strengths-based and collaborative approach, Sanam aims to create a space where all parts of you feel welcome—where recovery isn’t just about symptom management, but reconnecting with your inherent capacity for healing.
